In the month of may 1998 it was created "Club Felino de México A.C." The Club was funded by a group of breeders which only interest is that people know better the marvellous cats; because in our country there is a lack of knowledge about them. Through a better knowledge We want to give cats a better way of living and by providing people with information and promoting sterilization, hinder so many abandoned and misstreated cats.

Our long term objective is to have a worthy lodge that works properly for our beloved cats, and from there, be able to find a home for those who doesnt have one. At this time we don't have it yet so please, if there is somebody who wants to abandon a cat, don't call us, because we can't help them and it is really bothering and frustraiting to listen to such irresponsible people who want to get rid of their pets when we can not give them any help.

"El Club Felino de México" is a non-profit association; we are a service club and all our members work as volunteers in order to achieve our objectives. Actually we are able to help aprox. 350 cats with food, thanks to donations of enterprises such as Purina. We also organize cat shows, mainly with two purpouses: one is to make cats be known, because when people sees how they look and how they behave, realizes that the information that they have is wrong. When a cat is aggressive is because it has had the bad luck to be in touch with evil "humans" that have misstreated them.

The second purpouse is that people who does love and admire cats, goes to see the show and takes their own cats to compite. The Cat Shows that Club Felino actualy is performing are of the highest level and judged by highly qualified judges comming from CFA, FIFE and TICA. Club Felino has a monthly meeting for all who want to help and get a better knowledge about cats. In this meetings there are always expert breeders and veterinaries talking up. Before you by a pet, please think about it very carefuly. A dog or a cat are living beings and they deserve all our care, love and respect. When buying a pet, we acquire a life compromise, they are not teddy bears that you can discard, they are creatures that depend on us. If you dont want to compromise, PLEASE do not get any pet.

A lot of people thinks that helping cats is an impossible task to be done; Let's recall the beautiful story of a man that was looking a young boy walking in the beach one morning that the tide had put over the sand thousands of sea stars that certainly would die because of the heat of the sun. The man noted that the boy was throwing them back to the sea one by one for hours, so the man decided to go and tell the boy how hopeless was his work; because the number of sea stars was so much that he would never finish sending them back to the sea before they die. The young boy answered to this by throwing strongly another star back to the sea saying.
