This picture was published
at one of the best Mexican newspaper on Sunday. This beautiful boy is
my loved Red Persian Champion Nippur of Nippuren . Nippur arrived to our
place when he was two months old and I always say that he was born to
win. Everyday in the morning he used to jump on our bed and the morning
salutation was " Hello purr purr Nippur" after this he was very close
to my husband and he started to tell the kitty nice words to enhance his
"self esteem". Phrases like "you are the most beautiful cat of the world"
"you are a very strong boy" "we love you very much " "you never get sick"
and so for. Nippur was always quiet listening as if he could understand
every word, when he considered that it was enough, then he Was closer
to my husband and started to lick him on his face, well he was not licking
my husband but really washing him as if he were another cat, later he
was going away until next day for the same ritual. Nippur grew up and
when he was six months old went for the first time to a Cat Show. For
us it was also the first experience. He won "Best of breed" and from that
moment ahead it was a wonderful experience to compete with him although
it was more stressing for me than for Nippur. We became a team and we
got closer, no matter that I loved him very much in advance. Nippur won
in all shows he competed and at the end of the year being fifteen months
old had won all possible awards granted to a cat in Mexico. He was Best
long-hair cat, Best cat born in Mexico, and CAT OF THE YEAR 1996, of course
Nippur was already a Champion. This has been one of the most marvelous
experiences of my life. Thanks to all that made it possible. After this
success I decided that Nippur would never compete again. It was too much
stress for all of us .¡ And he had probed to be the best in Mexico !
